My baby, my love
To you, my baby, my love,
How can you ever be far from me?
I have held you in my arms,
From the very day you were born,
I carried you in my heart and womb,
How could I leave you to your gloom?
My baby, my love!
Would you let me into your world?
Of disappointments, pain and hurt,
I cannot promise to erase it all,
But I could wipe the tears when they fall,
I could give you of all I have in me,
To love you, with a love so pure,
To comfort you until you feel secure,
My baby, my love.
Do not think you have grown too big,
You could still use some love,
I can teach you to leave your pain behind,
And trade them for some feelings kind,
Drain out all the bitterness in you,
Until you have no more,
Let me carry some of your burdens child,
My baby, my love!
Would you give me your hands?
So I could hold them safely in mine.
Could you give me of your heart?
I would never decline,
Would you give me of your thoughts?
I would learn to love you more,
Your happiness is all I want,
My baby my love..
Your pains, your troubles, hurt me more,
And I want you to know,
That there is someone always waiting here,
Close by and very near,
Just lean on me and do not fear,
Believe that everything will be alright,

being a Mother is at once awesome and heart-wrenching ...you thoughts express what many may have felt in their interactions with their babes....and then the babes grow up and understand....thanks for sharing these words expressed with tenderness and passion...
