Shimmering Dawn - a poem

A shimmering sunrise

The beauty of the Shimmering dawn
Leaning out of the window, gazing at the world,
As I watch the palms trees sway gently,
The breeze brushes me, warmly with his lips,
Parting the midnight curtain that covers the face,
With the warm breath, of his parted lips,
Aglow with pleasure, filled with passionate desire,
Eyes closed in sensual pain,
The feel of sublime pleasure!
I float away on the wings of yearning,
Skyward on the clouds,
With the song birds, oh so free,
The wind, for my company,
The shimmering dawn does tug me on,
Drawing forcefully into the eternity,
Of a wondrous, golden morn.. ..
Liquefied gold, rushing through the russet sky,
Enslaving my tender heart!
Do I ever stand a chance?
Of being free, from his tight embrace,
Of thinking mine own thoughts,
I wander like a dazzled bee,
Kissing every bud and flower,
Tumbling on their bed of gold,
Epicentered in petaled bowls,
My life now seems so complete,
With love I am replete!
I know not what I really want,
Its enough, its enough, says my heart,
Can’t take more of this heavenly flow,
Yet, lusting for more than life can hold,
My eyes lids droop heavy with Lethe,
Head tilted back for more,
To reach deeper into that oblivion,
That fills my inner core!
Oh glorious shimmering dawn!!

Very nicely written shimmering Dawn, (from the poem of the same name...) Very evocative it was, too. Nice work.

Very nice poem but really love your pictures. They are so soothing just to look at.
